It’s a continuous thing throughout life, to keep your rivers (your inner channels, your life) clean, so that more things can flow through you freely to allow yourself to feel a sense of peace in life. It’s not just a quick once over, or once in a blue moon kinda thing, it can be as often as daily, weekly, monthly, depending on what needs cleaning up.
It can be in the words exchanged from one to another that tainted the waters a little,
The use of someones belongings not taken care of,
The service you received didn’t go as you had expected or were promised,
Maybe it’s whats coming through your inbox, your messages, that feel off,
There are many places in life that can sneak in, and if we don’t do anything about it, then over them your rivers (your channels, your inner being) isn’t only tainted, it becomes polluted, eventually effecting more than just yourself. It spreads out into your oceans (your family, relationships, work, health etc).
You may sit and think, “I’ll let this one fly”, yet next time you let it fly again, and again, and again. In the mean time, you’re building up a whole lot of resentment, which is tainting your river.
“But I shouldn’t have to tell them, they should just know (or do, or be)” is what can follow, and sure that would be great, but it’s your responsibility to keep your rivers clean, not anyone else.
So if a conversation is needed – have it.
If a boundary needs to be laid down – do it.
If you need to unsubscribe/delete – go for it.
You are not wrong in the slightest in speaking to what is tainting your world.
Some will take it well, others may not and if not, well you’re not responsible for their reaction to what is right and clean for you.
Protecting your river is up to you and only you.
Dealing with things as they happen has a huge (beneficial) effect on you and your wellbeing. The moment you do it, you feel lighter, more free, more in control of you & your world, and everything flows a lot more freely. So clean up as you go so your beautiful energy stays with you.
And while you’re taking a look at what’s tainting your rivers. Take a moment to check in to see where you have or are tainting another’s and clean that up too.
You’re human – we all trip up from time to time, but don’t make it who you are.
Clean up, Clean up, Clean up.
