THE DUALITY OF FEELINGS

A day, a week, can see a range of feelings, each one expressing itself in its own time.

The laughs, the joys, the contentment and the funny moments weave into life like a golden ray of sunshine.
Times when you’re happy to be seen, want to be seen, have the energy to be seen.
Wanting to share these highlighted moments with others, hoping it touches them as it touches you.
These moments look good on you, noticed before anything else can steal their attention.
The space of liberation, the space we all long to touch more often than not.

And then comes the other side.
Where sadness brushes over you like the wind, leaving tears grasping at the edges until they can no longer hold.
Where frustration lingers like a heavy fog, making it hard to see which way to turn first.
Moments when we want to hide away, yet also don’t.
When we don’t want to talk, yet also do.
When a hug would be the medicine, yet we fear it might be the poison.
Thinking no one can hold this with you, so you must do so yourself.
It feels easier that way – yet it’s not.
These moments also look good on you.
Your vulnerability is one of the most beautiful things about you.
It shows your strength more than your weakness.
It shows your heart more than your armour.

The duality of feelings is life’s heartbeat echoing through you.
It all looks good on you!

Ahhhhh…..The duality of feelings. Both light and heavy, both seen and unseen, are part of what makes us beautifully human. We celebrate the highs, but the lows carry their own quiet strength. Both deserve space. Both belong.

Where are you today?
In the sunshine or the fog?
Either way, it looks good on you.

This has been on my heart lately, especially as I prepare for PULSE – It Starts With You on Sunday, March 30th.
A space where full expression is honoured.
