These days I love having my portrait taken, I do it often for my business, however this time round was a little different.
I was doing it for a number of reasons….
One…to refresh Dom’s portfolio as she is coming on board with me as another photographer (freaking exciting)
Two…to see how Dom connected, posed & photographed an individual,
Three…For me to understand how my clients feel, to try something different, and for me to have some beautiful portraits of me now that I have had all my kids.
It really took me outside my comfort zone.
I was nervous,
I wondered if she could take a good photo of me,
In my mind I focused a lot on my tummy, my bum, my boobs,
Thinking maybe I should have waited for a few months to tone up.
Dom was amazing.
She made me feel so relaxed,
She took my focus off my body, simply by complimenting me, talking to me and making me feel comfortable.
She made me feel beautiful in those moments.
I started off fully clothed, then slowly moved into lingerie.
Haha sounds like a bit of a love story…
Maybe it is,
I love story between me and my own body.
Accepting it as it is right now.
Appreciating it and all it’s been through.
As I sit here now, about to show you my portraits,
Again, I am nervous.
Portraits like this is something I would normally enjoy for myself only,
But… I want to show you how amazingly talented Dom is,
I want to show you that even though I didn’t think I was ready (by that I mean my body) it was the perfect time.
I absolutely love my portraits.
