Do you judge a book by its cover?

Even though it is something we feel we don’t do, or don’t like to do, we tend to find ourselves doing it without even really thinking. Wether in business or personal circumstances.

If there were two businesses who offered exactly the same service, at exactly the same price point, what would be the deciding point in who you choose?

If you were choosing between two bottles of wine that you had yet to try, how would you decide which one to buy.
I bet your choosing factor would be the one in which you find more aesthetically pleasing.

When it comes to your business, wether you like it or not, people will judge you by the way you present youself and your business, until they meet you and really get to know you.

If everything you do in your business is presented well, people will always pick your business over others that don’t present themselves in a professional manner.

With the majority of our business communication being done via email & on social media, it is even more important that we begin to build trust with potential clients from the very beginning.

With a professional business portrait, potential customers will see that you care about yourself and your business, which in turn, they will feel you will care about them also.

Here are a few reasons why you should be using a current professional portrait in your business.

  • It is one of the first steps in building trust with your potential clients. People want to see who they are dealing with.
  • It only takes a few seconds to make an impact with potential clients
  • It provides fresh content in your business marketing.
  • If your fashion or hair style has changed, a up-to-date portrait is a must.
  • People want to know who’s the person behind the business – so be the face of your business.

Here’s how you can use your branding portrait.

  • Add one in your email signature so potential clients can see straight away who they are dealing with
  • Include them in your blog post (check mine out below)
  • Use them on your social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest)
  • Attach them with all your media releases
  • Perfect on your website ‘About Me’ page
  • A great way to end your e-newsletter – a personal touch.
